Creating a global impact in 10 weeks
KTM is a leading manufacturer of motorcycles. Our work with KTM RC centred a global competition to promote the latest in the KTM bike range.
The competition-based campaign had just ten weeks to create a real impact. KTM fans from around the world were invited to partake in weekly competitions, gaining social votes to win weekly prizes and collect enough total points over the course of the ten weeks to win the bike at the end of the summer.
The competition would engage 10,000’s of people across five continents in a social movement based on sharing user generated content and voting on each other’s contributions. And Rarely Impossible were enlisted to build the platform to support it.
Together with the team at KTM, we delivered a mobile application and fully integrated web portal, designed to provide a true digital experience for users both participating and voting. All user generated content had to validated through crowd sourced reporting and moderation's. The solution was built to cover 5 continents, using the Microsoft cloud Azure platform and Xamarin.
Using Xamarin meant we were able to integrate into KTM’s internal web team, working alongside them to build and deploy a solution that could scale with the growth of the campaign.
Another successful KTM campaign was executed quickly and effectively, providing avid KTM fans with a fully digital experience and an engaging route to participation.
